My daughter picked up lice at school, along with too many other kids. Last night, I plucked one off, flicked it in the toilet.
Me – “Don’t mess with my daughter!”
Her – “They’re not being mean to me. They’re just trying to feed their babies.”
This morning, before school, we did another check to make sure she was clear. She looked up at me and stared.
Her – “You’re taking care of your girl.”
Me – “Yes, honey. Of course.”
