Creativity Over Knowledge (Honoring a child’s imagination, Play is the way)

We were at Panera’s for dinner, and we were doing our daily seven pages from the Brain Quest workbook. I was task oriented. She was play oriented. As she got an answer, she turned it into a song, a little rap, using the word. Her creative ingenuity was more impressive than the answers she was completing in the workbook and quite entertaining. I soon relaxed into her world, laughing with each ditty.
