Safe and Loved (Security, Stability, Bedtime routines)

Was snuggling her to sleep. She gets hot when she sleeps for some reason, so we’ve gotten into the habit of a small fan running through the night. Tonight, I decided to switch sides while snuggling her in her bed and give her the air…

Me – “So you have the air.”

Her – “I don’t need the air. You’re full of love.”

Not sure what she meant exactly, but I gather it meant that her needs were sufficiently met to fall asleep comfortably, chief among them feeling safe and loved.
